Native Winds has a schedule of in-store classes and activities which changes from month to month. You can see our current offerings on our Events Calendar Page. We can also travel to your location to teach craft classes and/or to give presentations at your school, community group or social gathering. Please call for rates for larger groups.
NOTE: Students must register in advance for all classes. This means that the tuition must be paid in full no later than 48 hours before the scheduled class time. This allows us to prepare class materials and create the best experience for our students. We also need a minimum of three students for all classes. If less than three students sign up, we will refund your tuition. Otherwise, tuition is NON-REFUNDABLE--although we may be able to reschedule for you. If you have a group of three or more, we can schedule a class to fit your schedule.

Long before Europeans came to North America, Deganawida brought the Great Law of Peace to the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga and Seneca. These Nations formed the Hodenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy, a system of government that so impressed Benjamin Franklin he incorporated many of the same principles into the U.S. Constitution. Wampum, a cylindrical shell bead, told the stories of the Hodenosaunee and the Great Law of Peace. After learning this history, students will tell their own stories by creating wampum strands.
